The COVID-19 pandemic has posed an unprecedented public health crisis for the United Kingdom.

Our four National Health Services, local authorities and many thousands of social care staff employed in both the public and private sector have been central to the UK’s response to the crisis.

The past sixteen months have shone a spotlight on the important work of our health and social care staff throughout the country, and this year’s NHS, Social Care and Frontline Workers’ Day is an opportunity to recognise their contribution.

I have no hesitation in offering them a very sincere thank you on behalf of Llandudno.

Cllr Harry T M Saville
Mayor of Llandudno 2021
